Why The Blog?

It's time to change our ideas about what mental illness is. There is no shame in it and there should be no stigma around it. Having a mental illness is no different to having a physical illness. Just as somebody shouldn't be judged for having a broken arm, neither should they be judged for having a broken mind. The more we speak openly of our experiences in what can be the most isolating of illnesses, the more others will feel comfortable coming forward to seek help. The more we help each other, the better the world will be.
